Sunday Funday
Jumped in the car with no destination in mind, somehow ended up at Taieri Mouth and Lake Waihola. I feel pretty blessed to have places like this a stones throw from Dunedin.
Great start to the school holidays.
I probably like the school holidays more now as a parent than I did as a kid. Always love getting the kids ripping around outside.
Chilly night at Lake Ohau.
I've been going to Lake Ohau since I was about 5 years old. It's a very special place for my family and I. I had the pleasure to head up there last week to take some photos of a couple of houses for the owners to use on Bookabatch and the likes. -5 degrees over night made it nicer sitting in front of the fire rather than standing in the lake try trying to fish. Cold nights made way for stunning days, and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of days away.
Nico's first soccer game.
After deciding a bit late he wanted to give soccer ago this year Derek at Melchester was kind enough to squeeze Nico in to the team. He had his first real run at the Green Island tournament today. Held his own, and had a tonne of fun..... I look forward to his first Premiere League cheque rolling in.
Chilly Sunday Adventures
It may have been a bit on the chilly side, but we decided to find some of the snow from yesterday to have a play.... I'm pretty sure I won the snow ball fight. What do you do after playing in the snow?......hit the beach, of course.
Mothers day on the beach.
The sun was out, the weather was warm(ish), so off to Karitane for a picnic and some adventures with the family.
